Two Rocks jobs, about 44 km from Landsdale
Two Rocks is on the coast north of Yanchep, about 44 km from IBP Paving's base in Landsdale. We do take work there, by arrangement. Tell us about the job first, with the size of the area, what is there now and a few photos, and we will let you know whether we can take it on and how the visit and work days would be planned. The jobs we travel for are driveways and crossovers, replacement paving, limestone paths, pool surrounds and soakwells, all done with over 20 years of experience and a lifetime workmanship warranty.
Sun City, the marina and King Neptune
Two Rocks was the hub of Alan Bond's Yanchep Sun City plan of the 1970s and 1980s, built around the marina. The Sun City precinct, which takes in the marina, the King Neptune limestone sculpture and the former Atlantis Marine Park, was added to the State Register of Heritage Places in January 2023. Newer housing has since spread east and south east of the original township.
So the suburb has two kinds of paving work. The Sun City era homes are likely to have driveways and patios 40 or more years old, weathered by salt and settled on their bases, and the job is usually replacement on a rebuilt base rather than patching. Limestone paving or a pale exposure grade paver sits well with the coastal setting, and a replacement is a good moment to add pool paving if there is a pool to surround. In the newer estates the work is a first driveway, paths and an alfresco, the same list as any new build.

Fire history and paving on bushland lots
Two Rocks has a documented fire history. A bushfire in 1991 destroyed many dwellings, and in December 2019 a fire burnt more than 14,000 hectares near Two Rocks Primary School. For homes that back onto bushland, what sits against the walls matters. Brick, concrete and stone pavers are non combustible and easy to sweep clear of leaf litter, so we recommend a paved strip around the house, paved paths in place of bark or mulch, and paving rather than timber for outdoor living areas on exposed blocks.
Nature strips, trees and water under Wanneroo rules
If you want to pave part of the verge in Two Rocks, the City of Wanneroo sets the conditions, along with the rules for stormwater on the lot.
Brick paving or concrete may be laid on residential nature strips at a positive 2 percent gradient; gravel, crushed bricks and loose stones are not permitted. Crossovers must be at least 1.5 m from a City tree, a 0.5 m reduction may be considered, and damaging or removing a City tree without a licence is prohibited. Owners must confine stormwater runoff within their property boundaries, and the design specification allows soakwell sizing at 1 m3 per 60 m2 of constructed impervious area for single dwelling lots.

A replacement crossover in Two Rocks must also suit the City's dimensions: 3.0 to 6.0 m wide at the property line, at least 1.0 m from the common boundary and no closer than 7.5 m to a street corner. On older Sun City blocks the original drainage may be undersized for today's roof and paving, so a driveway replacement is the right time to add new soakwells for the roof and the paved area at the same time. The City of Wanneroo soakwell requirements page covers sizing and setbacks in more detail.

Quindalup sand and salt near the marina
The City of Wanneroo lists Two Rocks by name among the places where the Quindalup dunes reach the coast, so the streets nearest the ocean are likely on loose, pale dune sand. Inland, the ground is typically Spearwood sand over Tamala Limestone. Both drain freely, there is no named wetland in the suburb, and near the coast the groundwater sits over a saltwater wedge. Salt exposure is highest near the marina. There we use exposure grade pavers or dense limestone, washed bedding sand and a penetrating sealer, and resealing every few years keeps the surface from breaking down.
Yanchep, Eglinton and the coast south
Yanchep adjoins Two Rocks to the south, followed by Eglinton, Alkimos and Jindalee on the way back toward Landsdale. The complete list is on areas we service.
